Cwmdu Nature Reserve in Pontardawe is owned partly by Pontardawe Town Council and Partly by Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council. There are several beautiful walks together with Picnic and seating areas both close to the River and within the Glarhyd Estate.
You can access Cwmdu from the Cross in Pontardawe, steps from James Street, Waun Sterw, Rhyd y Fro or the Glanrhyd Estate.
The Pontardawe Town Council owned picnic area is located adjacent to a small pebble beach at the side of the River on the path from the Green Bridge towards Rhyd y Fro.
